February 2021, my boyfriend, his mom, his mom's boyfriend, and I went to Door County, WI. We were in a slump with the winter blues and needed something fun to do. In Wisconsin, you've got to get creative during the winter! Venture Wisconsin was kind enough to send me this super cool deck of cards! This isn't your standard card deck; it's full of awesome deals and discounts for local breweries! We decided to test out the Door County deals on our weekend getaway. More info about the Venture Wisconsin Brew Project Card Deck linked here!

We stayed at Homestead Suites in Fish Creek. This hotel was so homey and cozy. Trust me-- I'm super picky about hotels and have had some bad experiences. Homestead Suites had a comfortable, rustic feel. Our room had a private porch area, which would be so fun during the summertime! We had a pleasant stay here.
Friday
We drove up to Door County Friday evening. We stopped for dinner at Sonny's. I had the chicken parm, and it was SO GOOD! Huge portions--so come hungry! Below Sonny's was Bridge Up Brewing Company. We popped downstairs for a drink and to test out our cards! The beer selection was limited, but that's to be expected this time of year. The vibe was cozy and intimate; definitely a cute spot! We tried the "escarpment," a best-selling light beer with a hint of citrus. We then returned to the hotel to unwind and prep for our next day!
Saturday
We stopped at the Blue Horse for breakfast. Dine-in was closed, so we brought it back to the hotel and sat in the lobby. G got the jalapeno egg with a mocha and I got the sunrise egg sandwich with an iced chai. Both entrées were super good and the coffee was much needed for our fun, long day!
Of course, we had to check out some local stores! I'm obsessed with shopping and it's definitely my favorite activity for any travel location. Stopped at some cute shops (Hide Side Corner Store, Lake People, and Rusty Dusty Records were some notable ones)
We got lunch at Shipwrecked--one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Door County. G and I used the BOGO card on our favorite ciders: blueberry fizz and cherry mimosa. For an appetizer, we got the beer cheese pretzels. I had the pub club wrap, and G had the crab cakes. Everything was super delicious!
After lunch, we hit some more breweries to keep using our cards. First on our list was Door County Brewery. We all tried the "Leauge Night" brew, a light lager. We used BOTH cards at this location for BOGO and $2 off a to-go six-pack! We tried to stop at Tapuat Brewing Co., but unfortunately, they were closed. We'll have to save those cards for next time! There were some cute shops around, so we got to stop at some more stores!
We headed back to Fish Creek to find a spot for dinner. Just a short drive from our hotel was the Bayside Tavern. It was so close we could have even walked if the weather was nicer! We weren't super hungry, so we just had a cheese pizza and some cheese curds. After dinner, we hung out by the pool until bedtime.
Sunday
For breakfast, we went to the Chef's Hat. It was cute and cozy. I had a pink grapefruit mimosa with the "morning toast". After breakfast, we headed back home.
